Hubei University of Education

School of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence – Computer Experimental Teaching Center

2,000-Node License LISS + Smart Lab IoT Automated Lab Management

Project Overview

The Computer Experimental Teaching Center at Hubei University of Education manages departmental and university-wide computer access across one experimental building. With only two part-time administrators, the center needed to reduce manual operations and improve scheduling, records, and lab visibility.

OS-EASY deployed an integrated LISS and Smart Lab IoT solution with a 2,000-node license. The platform standardizes endpoint operations, teaching management, data retention, and lobby visualization while remaining compatible with existing devices.

User Requirements

  • Streamlined operations: Reduce administrator workload through centralized endpoint control, asset tracking, and fast fault reporting.

  • Teaching order: Connect accounts and timetables to enable flexible scheduling and course-based student access.

  • Traceable data: Replace paper records with automated laboratory and class data for inspections and assessment.

  • Integrated experience: Share data with Smart Lab IoT and present key operational information on the lobby display.

Solution

01LISS endpoint management: Provides desktop control, shutdown alerts, lock screens, software policy controls, asset data collection, and repair workflows.
02Scheduling and access control: Connects campus accounts and timetable data, supports multiple teaching scenarios, and restricts class-period login to the relevant students.
03Automated records and open-lab service: Generates laboratory and class records, supports student workstation reservations, and captures utilization data.
04Smart Lab IoT integration: Shares account and timetable data, enables password-free platform access, and visualizes attendance, occupancy, and course data on the lobby display.

Customer Value

Efficient Operations
