With a local physical computer connected to the internal network and a cloud virtual desktop connected to the external network, each healthcare staff member can use a single account to access the virtual external‑network desktop. This enables simultaneous use of both internal and external networks on one display, eliminating the need to switch between two computers, two keyboards, and two mice—thereby improving work efficiency and satisfaction.
No additional server hardware is required. A portion of resources can be allocated from existing virtualization resource pools such as VMware and ZStack to run cloud desktops.
The visualized management console allows monitoring of peripherals (e.g., shared printers, network printers, USB printers) connected to all terminals across the hospital. The availability status of each terminal's peripherals (online, offline, shared users online) is displayed in real time. Driver installation, configuration reuse, and default settings can be performed via Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V copy‑paste shortcuts. When a faulty printer is replaced with an identical model, the original printer driver and configuration parameters are automatically inherited without creating duplicates.
Healthcare staff need only remember their account and password to access their cloud desktop from any campus within the same hospital, or even from external locations via laptop, tablet, or smartphone—enabling timely diagnosis and treatment services.
To address the issue that 10th‑ and 11th‑generation Intel platforms do not support installation of Windows 7, the IDV architecture offers a solution that ensures seamless compatibility with HIS business systems. Moreover, new PCs (via IDV) and legacy PCs (via VOI) can be managed together using a unified template, allowing different architectures to be edited and deployed based on the same image template.
