OS-easy Smart Classroom declared as strategy project of UNESCO in Digital Learning Week of UNESCO Paris

Recently, The first UNESCO “Digital Learning Week” was successfully held at its headquarters in Paris. With the vision of “Leveraging technology for education,” This Digital Learning Week focused on the impact of digital learning platforms and generative artificial intelligence on education. It aimed to promote digital innovation in higher education in the digital age, facilitate cross-sector collaboration, and build a more inclusive and sustainable education system. This Digital Learning Week featured two plenary sessions and more than 30 breakout sessions, attracting educators, administrators, decision-makers, and stakeholders from over 100 countries in Asia, Europe, Africa, the Americas, and more. OS-EASY Group Holding Ltd. from Wuhan, China, as a partner of UNESCO, was invited to participate in this series of Digital Learning Week events, where they listened to international perspectives and shared Chinese experiences.

“Digital Learning Week” Opening Ceremony

Ms. Stefania Giannini, Assistant Director-General for Education of UNESCO, delivered the opening speech and expressed that the international community’s concern about the application of generative artificial intelligence in education is growing day by day. China is the only country that has issued normative framework documents on this matter. UNESCO places great importance on the intersection of “Artificial Intelligence and Education.” Regardless of the stage of technological development, we must ensure that education remains a fundamental human right and advocate for teachers and learners to have access to data and cultivate information literacy. This will enable them to fully address future opportunities and challenges, fostering the exchange and integration of diverse cultures and worldviews.

Mr. Chen Jie, Vice Minister of Education of China, Chairperson of the Chinese National Commission to UNESCO, also attended today’s opening ceremony. He responded in the panel discussion on “Digital Future and Platform Society: Implications for Education” that the Chinese government places upmost importance on digital education and has set clear goals, pathways, and corresponding strategies in this regard. He also emphasized the significance of China’s Smart Education Platforms in enhancing the capabilities of both teachers and students. Lastly, he acknowledged the importance of digital learning platforms and expressed China’s eagerness to further collaborate with UNESCO to jointly advance the future of digital education.

During Digital Learning Week, OS-EASY engaged in in-depth discussions with leaders at Ministry of Education from multiple countries, including China, Senegal, Ghana, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, and Lebanon about the development of digital education. Based on China’s experiences in digitizing education, on the ground in personalized learning, lifelong learning, expanding the coverage of quality education resources and modernizing education. OS-EASY shared its development results in Smart Campuses, Smart IoT Labs, and Hybrid online and offline remote teaching.

As the Information Technology revolution continues to evolve and innovate, the digital transformation of higher education has become a consensus and a crucial goal for universities worldwide. To that end, OS-EASY engaged in in-depth communication with university president representatives from eight member countries of the UNESCO Higher Education Center, including Nigeria, Mexico, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Uganda, and others.

In response to the issues of educational resource disparities and uneven educational development observed during the discussions, OS-EASY recommended various leading products and solutions, such as virtual classrooms and ICTE micro-lectures, Striving to promote the sharing of high-quality educational resources, advance the development of digital capabilities among teachers and students, and cultivate skilled talents, thereby illuminating the path to educational equity for students worldwide.

As an IIOE corporate partner, OS-EASY attended the IIOE side event during the Digital Learning Week hosted by the UNESCO Higher Education Centre. During the event, OS-EASY presented the fruitful results achieved since joining the Center , as a trusted provider of desktop and technology solutions, has been actively engaged in various areas such as smart classrooms, ICTE micro-certifications, and the sharing of course resources. effectively empowering teachers around the world to enhance their digital teaching capabilities and has contributed to the improvement of talent development in higher education institutions. In the future , OS-EASY will continue to support the UNESCO Higher Education Centre in advancing its work, promoting equitable education digitization across countries, and driving international development in digital education.

OS-EASY as an IIOE Corporate Partner to present at the conference

After the meeting, OS-EASY engaged in discussions with several prominent international AI companies and international philanthropic foundations to collaboratively address matters related to educational equity. Currently, OS-EASY overseas operations span across more than 10 countries and regions, with its desktop cloud products being utilized in various areas such as Malaysia, Japan, Singapore, Africa, and more.

These products have aided numerous educational institutions in Malaysia ,facilitating learning and office work through desktop cloud technology. This has contributed to the dissemination and sharing of high-quality educational resources on a global scale.

In the future, OS-EASY will continue to work hand in hand with its ecosystem partners to promote comprehensive cloud-based computer education worldwide. This collaborative effort aims to drive innovation and transformation in educational digitization, break down educational barriers, and foster equal sharing of educational opportunities.
